#ItsJuniorJ is a British-Seychellois DJ and broadcaster based in Dubai, with a career spanning three decades across music, nightlife, radio, live events and street culture.

An open-format DJ, he moves across Hip-Hop, R&B, Afrobeats and Dancehall, and just as easily through the throwback sounds of the 80s, 90s and 00s, from Rock, Indie, Soul and Funk to Disco and Rare Groove, often within a single eclectic set. That versatility is a large part of why brands such as Porsche keep booking him. A multiple DJ of the Year award winner in the UK and UAE, he has performed internationally and remains a longstanding presence in Dubai's entertainment scene.

A background in sound engineering, music and radio production has supported a broadcasting career that includes hosting and programming on Virgin Radio Dubai. He has produced walk-in music for boxing champion Amanda Serrano, co-founded the British streetwear brand Dark Circle and founded the events company Hott2Deff Entertainment.

Technical rider

The following equipment is required at each performance position:

  • 2 x Pioneer CDJ-2000NXS / CDJ-2000 Nexus, or newer equivalent (CDJ-2000NXS2, CDJ-3000 or later professional Pioneer DJ player acceptable)
  • 1 x Pioneer DJM-S11 mixer
  • 1 x Shure SM58 cordless microphone
  • 1 x DJ laptop stand
  • 4 x 240V UK Type G power outlets or power supplies, within practical reach of the DJ booth

All equipment must be fully operational, tested and connected before soundcheck and performance.

DJ booth and monitoring

A professional, stable DJ booth or table at an appropriate working height must be provided, with space to securely accommodate 2 x CDJs, the DJM-S11, a laptop stand and associated artist equipment.

A dedicated DJ monitor must be positioned close to the artist, with sufficient independent monitoring level for the performance environment. The monitor system should be independently controllable wherever technically possible.
